Before You Visit…
What You Need To Know…
What’s The Schedule?
Sundays
HBBC offers worship services every Sunday morning at 10:30 AM. Adult Bible Study is at 9:30 AM. There is also a fantastic children’s program, Zoo Zone, that meets during the 10:30 Worship Services in the Children’s Building next door.
Wednesdays
September through the end of May, our Small Group Classes are in session. It is a relaxed atmosphere to meet and get connected with others. During this time, children ages 3 years old -5th grade meet in the Children’s Building for Children’s Choir. June-August there will be a break from small groups. Regular services will be held in the Auditorium.
What Do I Wear?
Each Sunday, you will find people wearing a range of clothing from suits to jeans. The most important thing to remember about what you decide to wear on Sunday is simply to be who you are.
Where Do I Park?
There are plenty of Visitor Parking Spaces located on the Chestnut side of the Auditorium. There are also Senior Adult Parking in the front parking lot. It is also suitable to park in the Fort Walton Glass Co. parking lot (one row only close to Chestnut), Friendly Florist, Killingsworth lot, and Barefoot Weddings in the Shopping Plaza. We have secured permissions from all these businesses.
What Should I Expect When I Come Inside?
As you enter the main auditorium, you will be greeted by one of our ushers and greeters. They will be able to assist you with any questions you might have. Don’t be shy… they are happy to help!
Where Do I Take My Child?
We LOVE children! That’s why we’ve made it top-priority to provide quality, high energy and fun programs and events for each child. Committed workers come prepared to help your children, ages birth to fifth grade, experience God’s love through age-appropriate Bible study, and hands-on learning experiences. The Nursery, which is located down the hallway just passed the restrooms, is provided every service for newborns up to 2 yrs. old. If you have a child age 3 (potty training required) through the 5th grade, they will be in Zoo Zone, our Children’s Church Program. Zoo Zone will be in the Children’s Building located passed the Fellowship Hall and playground (same building as Friendly Florist).
What’s The Music Like?
Here at HBBC, the musical aspect of worship is a great blend ranging from upbeat and contemporary praise songs to the rich hymns of old. We love new songs and the old. We want the music to emphasize the theme of the message and to touch the heart preparing it to receive the teaching of God’s Word.
How Do I Become a Member?
At the end of each service, an open invitation is given to those who wish to make a decision to join HBBC, receive Christ, make a new commitment or have a special need of prayer. During this invitation, simply come forward and one of our trained counselors will meet you and help you with any necessary information.
HBBC accepts members in the following ways:
- By receiving Christ as your Lord and Savior, and obeying Him through Christian baptism, immersion as a symbol of salvation
- By transfer of membership from another church (having been saved and previously baptized)
- By statement of your Christian faith (having been saved and previously baptized and having no prior church membership)
