Missionary Spotlight:

We are delighted to share an update on the dedicated missionary couple, Guillermo and May Aguilar! The Aguilars have a long and fruitful history of ministry, primarily with Word of Life Fellowship.

 

A Life of Service

Guillermo and Mayra, originally from Costa Rica, dedicated their lives to full-time missions after studying at the Word of Life Bible Institute in Argentina.

  • Costa Rica (1991 – 2005): They began their missionary career in their home country of Costa Rica, serving for fourteen years with Word of Life.

  •  

    Nicaragua (2007 – 2021): The Lord later led them to Nicaragua where they were instrumental in starting and developing the Word of Life Nicaragua ministry. Guillermo served as the founder and ministry director for many years.

  •  

    Regional Role (Post-2018): Towards the end of their time in Nicaragua, they transitioned to a regional oversight role for the Word of Life teams in Panama and Costa Rica.

    Current Ministry

In a significant change, God opened a new door for the Aguilars in late 2020. They moved to Florida to take on the role of Home Office Director for the International Ministries Division of Word of Life in Tampa (now based in Hudson, FL).

  • Guillermo is currently responsible for overseeing the International Ministries home office operations, focusing on effectively mobilizing and serving the worldwide international missionary team.

  •  

    May is focusing on serving the Lord by helping and counseling missionaries, and is involved in missionary care as part of the International Ministries team.

Kenneth and Valerie Balootje have served the Dominican Republic since 1994. In 2014, they founded Sowing For Eternity with a passion to evangelize and disciple those who live in the DR. Kenneth has a heart for the lost, and is relentless in sharing the gospel. He has partnered with churches around the globe to live out the Great Commission. Sowing for Eternity has the passion and vision to reach the Dominican Republic, the Caribbean and beyond with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our holistic approach to helping people move from brokenness to wholeness includes: evangelism and discipleship, church planting, training leaders within the church, and supporting the local church to start the cycle again.
 
 
 

Jim and Susie Horne

Jim and Susie Horne have served in Kenya for over 30 years. They raised their family in Kenya and started multiple ministries which are thriving. They have three grown children who have brought them the delight of being grandparents!
Jim and Susie felt a call in their lives to touch the lives of unreached people groups in Kenya. They have done so through starting numerous schools, feeding centers, churches, a Bible college and dug wells in communities. Jim and Susie have profoundly touched thousands of lives in Kenya!
 
 

Tim Lee

Tim Lee has spent the past 45 years in active ministry as a full time evangelist. He has preached in all 50 states and numerous countries around the world. He has addressed thousands of local churches, Christian schools, public schools, civic organizations, veterans organizations, corporate events, colleges and universities as well as hundreds of special patriotic events. Tim Lee is known as the “Legendary Speaker” at MCRD Parris Island, where he has spoken to tens of thousands of Marines and Marine Recruits since 2013.

For 28 years Tim and his family hosted one of the most exciting teen camps in America called YOUTH ALIVE where thousands of lives were changed.

Tim and his wife Connie have been married for 50 years, and they live in Rowlett, Texas. They have three children and six grandchildren.

Tim Lee connects with his audience. With his passion and his deep burden for America and in his amazing ability to reach and appeal successfully to the person sitting in the audience, young and old, Tim Lee is being used to make a huge impact is so many lives

The Ministry is in charge of 2 local churches, the HOPE Family Resource Center, a sports ministry, hosting groups from the USA, and various evangelistic and Bible study activities. . We are here to serve our Lord Jesus Christ and to provide opportunities to our community so that others can know and serve Him too.

Having recently moved to Santiago (the capital city), they are busily enrolling in language school and setting up their house. Russ and Lynn Turner

The Turners have been missionaries in Costa Rica and Latin America for over 40 years. They established churches in different cities and towns of Costa Rica, and helped other national pastors and their churches for over 32 years. They still live and minister in Costa Rica, but have now extended their ministry to include evangelizing indigenous people groups and teaching pastors and workers throughout Central and South America. Russ & Lynn travel to strategic locations including hard-to-reach areas with indigenous populations who are unreached or under-reached with the gospel and Bible teaching. Their goal is to multiply themselves by training pastors to reach their own tribes.
