🇺🇸UPDATE FOR OUR FREEDOM, FAMILY, & FELLOWSHIP EVENT! 🇺🇸

We want to make sure as many of our families as possible can join us for this special evening, so we have shifted the date! To ensure everyone has the chance to celebrate 250 years of US Independence together, our celebration has been moved to Saturday, July 11th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

This means everyone gets an extra week to perfect their recipes and skills for the Ice Cream Challenge and the Corn Hole Competition! 🍨🎯

While the main event wraps up at 7:00 PM, the fun doesn’t stop there for everyone—our teens will be staying right after for a special Movie Night! 🎬🍿

The church will provide the Hamburgers and Hotdogs, so please bring along your favorite sides to share. Let’s make this an unforgettable night of fun, food, and fellowship. 📝 Don’t forget to sign up in the foyer!

Happy Fourth of July, and Happy 250th to the USA!
We can’t wait to celebrate with our entire church family on July 11th.

Attitude of Gratitude

——————————————————

HBBC Attitude of Gratitude:
A Nation Formed by Sacrifice
United States f America

As we celebrate our nation’s historic milestone, our hearts turn toward a profound attitude of gratitude for the incredible gift of freedom. For 250 years, America has stood as a beacon of hope and liberty—the greatest nation under God—built upon a foundation of faith, courage, and community.

This week, we give thanks for the legacy we’ve inherited, and we fix our eyes on the horizon:

  • The Blueprint of Liberty: We thank God for a nation established on the foundation that our rights come from Him, and we pray for a revival that brings this country fully back to being One Nation Under God.

  • Our Servicemen and Women: We honor the generations of brave men and women who have sacrificed to defend our freedom and protect our home.

  • The Next 250 Years: We look forward with hope, asking God to guide, protect, and prosper the generations that will follow us.

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” — 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Moving Forward in Prayer

True gratitude requires action. As we honor the past, we carry the torch forward through prayer. Let us commit this week to pray earnestly for our local, state, and national leaders, asking for wisdom, integrity, and a renewed reverence for God’s truth.

Let’s take time to pause, thank a veteran or local hero, and lift our nation up in prayer—trusting Him with America’s future just as our founders trusted Him with its beginning.

Missionary Spotlight:

Jim & Susie Horne

Honoring Over Four Decades of Faithfulness: Jim & Susie Horne

Since 1975, Jim and Susie Horne have answered a clear and profound call to global missions. Leaving behind the familiar, they stepped out in faith to bring the hope of the Gospel, practical relief, and sustainable community development to the mission field.

Over the course of their ministry, Jim and Susie have poured their hearts into holistic ministry—understanding that meeting spiritual needs goes hand-in-hand with relieving physical suffering. Through their dedication, thousands of lives have been radically transformed. Their ministry footprint includes:

  • Church Planting & Leadership: Establishing thriving local churches and founding a Bible Institute to equip national pastors and church planters to carry the torch of the Gospel to their own people.

  • Education & Youth Outreach: Starting primary schools providing quality education and biblical foundations for children who otherwise would lack access to schooling.

  • Compassion Ministries: Partnering with nutritional feeding centers, building medical clinics, and drilling clean water wells to bring physical healing and essential resources to underserved communities.

Jim and Susie raised their three children on the mission field, and today they celebrate the added blessing of grown children and grandchildren who continue their legacy of faith. Even as ministries transition into the hands of capable local leadership, the Hornes remain actively committed to the next phase of the work God has called them to finish.
