WELCOME TO HBBC!

NO MID-WEEK SERVICE TONIGHT

Welcome to our Wednesday Night Small Groups Service.  Whether you are a regular attendee or a first-time guest, we are all here for the same reason.  It is a time when Christians gather to study, pray, fellowship, encourage, visit, and bless one another.
It is a highlight of the long week between Sunday worship.

How reassuring that we are never alone; God has sent us a host of other believers who can identify with the struggles and trials of everyday life! That’s what “church” is all about! Isn’t it great to be a part of something so encouraging! If you are looking for a place to belong, HBBC is just for you! Come on over to our Family!

We have several elderly, shut-ins and members that need our care and support.

A visit, phone call, or a card of encouragement would be appreciated.

PRAY FOR OUR MISSIONARY FAMILIES

We will get to know our missionaries so we can better pray for them and support them.
Our December Missionary family is the Aguilar family, missionaries to Nicaragua.
My wife and I both got saved at an early age but dedicated our lives to the Lord in our youth. God called us to serve Him and after getting married in 1989, we both decided to go and study the Word of God at the Word of Life Bible Institute in Argentina, a ministry which had a great impact in our lives.

In 1991 my wife and I were studying God’s Word at the WOL B.I., when we decided to serve God full time as missionaries. Then, He called us to serve in Costa Rica, our home country. For fourteen years the Lord allowed us to enjoy serving in that Country, with a team which was such a great blessing to us, people whom God put together for the great task that in that time we were able to accomplish by His Grace.

In 2002 the Lord began to lay a burden in our hearts for the country of Nicaragua, and an increasing desire to go and serve Him in that place. After years of praying, we arrived at Managua on October 30th 2007, to start the Word of Life Nicaragua ministry. For the next 14 years the Lord allowed us to serve in that beautiful Country, and we are deeply thankful to God for this wonderful experience, starting and developing a new ministry and a missionary team. During those years God gave us a wonderful group of young Nicaraguans who now conform the WOL Nicaragua staff.

At the end of 2018 God showed us it was the right time to start a leadership transition to a new ministry director in Nicaragua, Alex Schoures. He was one of our first disciples when we came to the Country. Him and his wife Erika were growing in leadership and responsibility, and it was a natural development for them. This allowed us to serve more on a regional role, and WOL assigned us to oversee the WOL teams in Panama and Costa Rica as well.

However, in December of 2020, God had a huge surprise for us. He opened the door through our leaders in WOL in the U.S., to take the position of Home Office Director for the International Ministries Division in Tampa, Florida. After much prayer and seeking advice, we realized this was the next step God had prepared for us in our missionary career. So, on March 15, 2021, my wife and I moved to Florida to start this new adventure.

Praise the Lord for this wonderful opportunity and please pray for us as we continue to help build our part of the Body of Christ as we serve our international team.

CHURCH NEEDS

SEVEN SUPER REASONS “WHY” SMALL GROUPS BIBLE STUDY ARE NEEDED

  1. Small group Bible studies let people minister one to another.
  2. Small group Bible studies actually study the Bible together.
  3. Small group Bible studies work best when using great questions for discussion.
  4. A great small group Bible study doesn’t just read the Scriptures but helps us apply the Scriptures to our lives.
  5. A great small group Bible study keeps you thinking about a passage long after the meeting is over.
  6. A great small group Bible study helps us come to know God.
  7. Small groups help us experience vibrant prayer.

We have a great Small Group Bible Study on Wednesday evenings, 6:30 PM. Join us this week!

God is working in our church!!!!
