*OLD: We recognize water baptism and the Lord's
Supper as the Scriptural ordinances of obedience for the church in this age.

(Q) Divorce
and Remarriage: (Pg 6)
*OLD: We believe that God hates divorce and
intends marriage until one of the spouses dies. Divorce and remarriage is regarded as adultery except on the grounds of
fornication. Although divorced and remarried persons may hold positions of
service in the church and be greatly used of God for Christian service, they many not be considered for the
offices of pastor or deacon.

Upon
repentance, restoration, as well as counsel and approval of the Pastor,

*OLD: We believe that Christians are prohibited
from bringing civil lawsuits against other Christians or the church to resolve
personal
disputes.
We believe the church possesses all the resources necessary to resolve personal
disputes between members. We do
believe, however, that a Christian may seek compensation for injuries from
another Christian's insurance company as long as the
claim is pursued without malice or slander

steward of that portion of God's wealth entrusted to him, is obligated to
support his local church financially. We believe that God has established the
tithe as a basis for giving, but that every Christian should also give other
offerings sacrificially and cheerfully to the support of the church, the relief
of those in need, and the spread of the Gospel. We believe that a Christian
relinquishes all rights to direct the use of the tithe or offering once the gift has been made.
*NEW: We believe that every Christian, as a

of our Savior.

(A) Privileges of
Membership
*OLD: Each member of the church shall be
entitled to vote on all matters except those pertaining to the disciplining of
members, the purchase or sale of real property, and the dismissal or calling of
a pastor, in which matters, only members at least eighteen years of age shall
be entitled to vote.
* NEW: Each active member in good standing who is 18
of years or older, shall be entitled to vote on all matters. This
includes the biblical discipline of members, the purchase or sale of real
property, and this dismissal or calling of a Pastor.

is still unresolved after the steps outlined in subsections (B) and (C) have
been taken, the discipline committee, as the church representatives Biblically

shall recommend to the members of the church that they, after self-examination,
make an effort personally to go to the offending

he shall recommend the appointment of the teachers of
the Sunday school. He shall preside at the teachers' meetings, and report on

programs. In consultation with the pastor he

ARTICLE 6, SECTION 1 - MEETINGS FOR WORSHIP (Pg 16)

ARTICLE 12 - DESIGNATED CONTRIBUTIONS

From time to time the church, in the exercise
of its religious, educational, and charitable purposes, may establish various
funds to accomplish specific goals. Contributors
may suggest uses for their contributions but all
suggestions shall be deemed advisory rather than
mandatory in nature. All contributions made to specific funds or otherwise designated shall
remain subject to the exclusive control and discretion of the pastor and the
Board of Deacons. No fiduciary obligation shall be created by any
designated contribution made to the church other than to use the contribution
for the general furtherance of any of the purposes stated in Article I, Section
2.
*NEW: From time to time the church, in the
exercise of its religious, educational, and charitable purposes, may establish
various funds to accomplish specific goals. All givers may “designate” uses
for their contributions above and beyond tithing. These designated funds shall
go directly to the specified ministry or project. In special (or emergency)
cases, and with only approval of the giver, may funds be used for other than their intended designation. No
fiduciary obligation shall be created by any designated contribution made to
the church other than to use the contribution for the general furtherance of
any of the purposes stated in Article I, Section 2.
